THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS
St. John the Evangelist, Calgary, is a traditional Roman Catholic parish of the Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter where we make a special welcome to Anglicans (and other Protestants) who are seeking to come home to the Catholic Church. Our Parish Priest is Father Robert-Charles Bengry, assisted by Parochial Vicar Fr. Sean-Patrick Beahen.
For 106 years we were a parish of the Anglican Diocese of Calgary but were received into the full communion of the Roman Catholic Church on 18 December 2011 as a response to Pope Benedict XVI Apostolic Constitution Anglicanorum coetibus. We were canonically erected as one of the founding parishes of the Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter on 4 November 2014.
We are a family-friendly community where God the Holy Trinity is worshipped in the beauty of holiness. St. John’s is both a neighbourhood and a destination parish where the Catholic faith is passed on faithfully to this new generation. We seek, as a Catholic family, to grow together in holiness in the love of God and neighbour.

Confession: normally an half hour before Mass — line-up along the Southern wall.
Morning Prayer: Saturday at 9.00 am
Adoration: Friday and Saturday at 10.00 am

COME AND WORSHIP
St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, located within the Diocese of Calgary, is a parish of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter. We worship the Triune God with Sacral English and beautiful music in a manner that keeps ancient English Catholic tradition alive here in Calgary. We have an accent on the Catholicism found in England before the Protestant Reformation and on the spiritual patrimony that survived and sustained the faithful through it. But with all of that said, the faith expressed at St. John’s is not a ‘museum faith’ but is rather one that is lively and actively engages a culture that is largely indifferent (and often hostile) to the Church that Christ founded two-thousand years ago.
